NBAD to recruit 300 UAE Nationals in 2010

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) plans to recruit 300 UAE nationals in 2010 and increase Emiratisation to 38% by end of the year compared to 36% by end of 2009.
As part of NBAD's initiatives to attract UAE nationals, the bank is participating in the National Career Exhibition to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 28, 29 and 30.

Last year, NBAD recruited 442 UAE nationals increasing the number of UAE nationals working for the bank to 1046 staff, which constitutes 36% of the Bank's total workforce in the UAE compared with 30% by end of 2008. Emiratisation at high management level reached 50%.

NBAD is on a constant look-out to attract and retain the brightest and best talents, giving everyone the opportunity to maximise their potential to ensure that best products and services are delivered by the best banking professionals to customers. Pursuing this approach has made NBAD employer of choice in the UAE. NBAD's sponsorship and internship programmes are now benefiting more than 200 students from top UAE universities.

NBAD has been recognised as a leader in its efforts in the contribution to the Emiratisation initiatives of the UAE Government. The bank has been awarded the Best Emiratisation CEO award in Banking Sector in 2010, the HR award in February 2009 by EIBFS and The Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council's Emiratisation Award in June 2009. 

The bank's Emiratisation efforts are based on long term plans to train, recruit, and develop the best qualified UAE nationals to become leading professionals in the banking and finance industry, hence, contribute positively to the welfare and development of the country.
